Important Events: 

War of King Celeas: The War of King Celeas took place nearly two hundred years before the start of our game. It was a great battle between the kingdoms of the Old Gods (Grelach and Browen) and the the kingdoms which followed the New Gods (Esteos and Ochrad). 

The war was led by King Celeas of Grelach, who was killed on the battlefield during a particularly bloody struggle. The four kingdoms began to collapse under the weight of winter. Cattle died in the pastures. Crops dissolved into the dirt. To end the war, Esteos wrote up a treaty of peace and gave Grelach and Browen newly discovered and rumored 'inhospitable' land off the coast of Redwick. 

The land became known as Brightloch and is a sanctuary and place of worship for the Gods of old.
